This painting concept is created by painting Lines, Individually One at a Time. I paint 9 horizontal Lines & 9 Vertical Lines, rotating the canvas before a new Line is added. This creates a look of interwoven colors overlapping and intersecting across the canvas. The Lines are all equal width. No. 013 and No. 014 go well together to make a grand statement. Both are created in a similar fashion using the same colors; however, No. 014 is the Inverse of No. 013…look closely. This pairing in particular is very special in that I wanted the works to be completely ‘random’ and to have my biased ‘Artist’ intuition removed from the piece. My art friend Julie Notaro helped select [from a random process] the order & location of each of my 18 colors in No. 013 & No. 014 it’s inverse. Both works were created simultaneously.

Scaled up Originals are variations of concepts from the series [ 10×10×10×10 ]. This work is 36”x36”x1.5”. This concept can be scaled up or down in any square size other than 10”x10” on a commission basis. Each is numbered sequentially in order of completion. All are signed, dated, and come with a Certificate of Authenticity. Each Original Variation of this concept will be different based on color adjacencies. Each will be created using 9 thick vertical Lines and 9 thick horizontal Lines in 18 colors. This product is acrylic paint on stretched canvas. Each work is created upon purchase.
