Michael has been creating ever since he can remember. It is in his blood. Raised outside of Chicago, Michael began painting at a very young age. Architecture, Art, & Design have always been central to his education and experiences. Following his love for the built environment, he attended University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign receiving his degree in Architectural Studies. Always fascinated by the desert Southwest, he moved to Phoenix, AZ after graduating where he became a licensed Architect and practiced Commercial Architecture. In 2005 he relocated to Las Vegas to continue his Architectural career. In 2008 Michael began translating ideas of painting Lines onto canvas.

The concept of covering canvas with painted Lines, individually, One at a Time is a technique that creates inherent texture. Lines overlap and intersect each other as they cover the canvas. It is a slow process. It is meticulous. It is his language.

Michael is inspired by Design, Fashion, Cuisine, Travel, Landscape, Weather, Numerology, Astronomy, History, and all of the things known and unknow about this existence.

Michael continues to create Original works in Las Vegas where he share a home/studio with his husband Larry. He also has a Gallery/Studio space within the World Famous Arts Factory in the heart of the 18b Arts District within the City of Las Vegas.
